Uptown Family Park

Uptown Garden is a public teaching garden that is a pet project for me. Interacting with the public and answering questions is a joy. Here are a few pictures.

Uptown Family Park is situated on the north end of Paso Robles. Opened in 2014, the park includes a family picnic area, playground, native landscaping and an amphitheater that seats up to 140.

Uptown Family Park Community Garden Workshops

Recreation Services volunteers are hosting workshops at the Uptown Family Park Community Garden! The workshops are FREE and open to all ages. No registration required.

Pollinated education is a very important topic at this time

Educating the public about Native Plants, which is important to pollinators and helps conserve water

Garden ornamentals are fun and unique plants

Herbs for the kitchen and medicine

Teaching about Bulb and Rhizome care is always a great discussion

Teaching about seasonal vegetables is key to successful growing
